A new tornadic couplet is forming on radar south of Columbus MS. It will move northeast across extreme northwestern Pickens County and into southern Lamar County.

A tornado warning is now in effect for Lamar and Pickens Counties until 415 a.m.

It may pass near Macedonia, Millport, or Vernon…then could get into Fayette County…near Belk and Fayette.

Go ahead now and get ready to go through your tornado precautions in these areas. A warning could be issued any minute.

It was vicious here. Extremely strong winds. I heard transformers blow. Spotter reports a tornado on the ground near Oakland/ Central Heights.

Just caught the end of a transmission on the scanner about entrapment. Listening for details. I think it was Muscle Shoals PD.

I didn't think North Alabama was suppose to be under a watch until around 10 am? Is this thing moving faster?

No, this is just round one. Round two will be this afternoon when the real show will be.
