Southern Greene Co. cell is threatening Forkland and Greensboro, and then is going to come up toward West Blocton and the other communities that got hit by the initial stages of the long-tracker. It's the most impressive cell on radar since, well...that one.

Tuscaloosa in new tornado warning, from the storm that multiple chasers reported a rain-wrapped wedge in.

TOR warning for the Eutaw storm extended into Tuscaloosa County. Looks like downtown Tuscaloosa and southward is in the polygon. Radar confirmed tornado.

Thankfully that storm is weakening as it moves into Tuscaloosa county. Last few scans have been very unimpressive, hopefully this continues and it isn't just cycling.

Today hasn't been as prolific as 3/17 yet but certainly has verified in the strong long tracked tornado department. If convective mode had been less sloppy and we had multiple cells like the Birmingham one, it'd have been apocalyptic. Definitely a high risk day.

Am honestly concerned about how convection seems to be getting *more* discrete.

That Forkland cell is in an environment prime for a long track tornado.

Northern Greene toward Tuscaloosa has the TDS for the moment, but the cell to its south near Forkland is about to become the next monster.

Am honestly concerned about how convection seems to be getting *more* discrete.

The low-level wind shear is increasing so conditions are more favorable for discrete storms than they were back in central Mississippi, where the low-level winds stayed more veered.
