Mid-morning runs of the HRRR did a pretty decent job of picking up that threat for this particular round of storms was going to be along and south of 20/59.
Unfortunately we already have reports of injuries coming in.I really really hope not many fatalies or injuries occur with this outbreak, but i feel like that won’t happen. I really feel like this will be really nasty as the night goes on. i really feel bad for everyone in these storms
I've seen a couple of shots that look like solid EF3 damage. No signs of clear violent damage yet, but we're a long way from being out of the woods.any reports on major damage?
Lol, yeah I read that. Was hoping someone who knows a helluva lot more than I do could offer any outlook for the area around Chattanooga. Last I heard, it's supposed to get rough around 2 am. With the rain and all, did that change things? Did the wedge hold? Trying to learn so I don't have to ask
Yeah that could abruptly change. considering we have a nighttime high risk squall on the way. major strong-violent tornadoes could hit a major town at nightUnfortunately we already have reports of injuries coming in.

Thanks for the info. I'm a novice weather nerd at best. I pray you all stay safe!!I am not a meteorologist. This is my opinion only. I think your biggest threat will be the eventual squall line winds and any embedded cells in the line that rotate. I think your tornado threat is quite low.
Best source for more specific information is going to be your NWS forecast office which I believe is Morristown.
All things considered, so far so good.Hey everyone
Currently at work, how has the event unfolded so far? Have we seen the worst of the tornado activity? I certainly hope so.
Here is the graphic for the latest Meso. And, I've been here for many years and I've never seen so many bozos posting in the middle of an unfolding event. Is this a covid thing?

We may wind up with a couple EF4s, but I don't think we've seen any so far based on damage I've seen... unless the EF4 damage just totally missed all towns and buildings. I'd be surprised if we have had more than 1 or 2 EF3s so far.I really think that we will get several EF3s and a couple of EF4s based on the signatures and damage so far
