Severe WX Severe Threat 17-18 March 2021

Does anyone know if Miss State has released a balloon yet? I know they do it sometimes for severe weather days, especially potentially high end days. That’s local to me so I was curious what the date from it is like.

Two areas along the Jefferson/Walker line are rotating. Still 66 here but everything is starting to spin

They are up at an angle. Without debris or power flashes or something indicating clear ground interaction you can't be 100% certain it is there. It looks awfully darned close if it isn't. -- well, it did 3-5 minutes ago.

Definitely doesn't look like it's down at the moment there, but a lot of tornado warnings in that area (Marengo county, AL)

ABC 33/40 has a rotating wall cloud on stream near Demopolis:

West-central MS is clearing out again. It's been suspiciously quiet back there, which makes me nervous for later, given what we saw from JAN and LIX.

Tornado Warning for that West Jefferson storm.
