The big thing I learned from the ARWA/FRWA conference is that PFOA's and PFOS's will be as big as an issue as they claimed back in 2016. That along with other things mean that everyone should enjoy water rates right now as they will only continue going up.

@Kory, I am posting this just for you considering how much you love Louisiana politics!

What’s even more surprising is the district he represents. I would expect this from some representative in a podunk district in the state, not from the suburbs of New Orleans.

Oh, and he has a private twitter account. Man of the people!

Did anyone watch the Yankees vs. Red Sox game in London yesterday? There were so many runs by both teams that the final score was more indiciative of a football score vs. a baseball score.

Totally missed it. Thought I had it set to record but no dice.

340 Tons of Soil was shipped over to the UK for that game from the U.S. So they still played on U.S. Soil. LOL

Something that's always been really fascinating to me is people who get that "something is very wrong here" gut feeling before a disaster, like the old man in Osaki who woke up having an unexplained panic attack on the morning of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake, or the couple who flew home from Sumatra about 24 hours before the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami because they just had a feeling that something bad was going to happen. Those kind of instincts are definitely a gift worth having.
