I just deadass had a dream in my 30 minute nap I just took in which there was an old 80s synthpop ballad (think Spandau Ballet's "True") by Dead or Alive (The band that made "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" called "The Power of Magic", that was made for an 80s romcom and played in an earthquake scene that the romcom had for some reason.
The "length" section on its Wikipedia article went, almost verbatim:
Length
3:38 (album/7" single version)
4:53 (Greatest Hits version)
Its B-side was a song called "W.A.D." (We All Die) which was about a nuclear disaster and was available in a "nuclear elevator mix" that ran 9:00 and a "nuclear elevator left mix" that ran 8:30. Those times aren't estimations, btw. Those are exactly what I read in the dream.
I also heard "The Power of Magic" on my local rock station, except all of the names of the songs on it were jumbled up into word salad and the bumps were changed and had a video element added to them as well. It had very Joshua and the Promised Land like animation and featured a rabbit yelling and his head exploding... in a terrible effect as his head fell backwards out of frame.
This would make a great r/thomastheplankengine post, ngl.
