Another tornado warned supercell southwest of Detroit. Also has strong rotation but it’s far enough from the radar that it’s hard to tell how that’s translating to ground level.

@MichelleH there's another storm headed your way from Brushy Pond. We had some really teeny tiny ice / hail on the back porch for a few minutes. I tried to take a pic of it, but I don't think you can tell what it was from the distance. There was a lot of lightning and I didn't want to go out closer to get a better shot right then. I was surprised, because I didn't think we'd have any more significant storms today.

My daughter lives in Wellborn in Calhoun County just outside of Anniston. I just called her but hopefully that tornado warned storm in Calhoun goes north of her.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
Central Chilton County in central Alabama...
Southeastern Bibb County in central Alabama...

* Until 730 PM CDT.

* At 650 PM CDT, a tornado producing storm was located near Talladega
National Forest, or 8 miles southeast of Brent, moving east at 30
mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
Clanton, Jemison, Thorsby, Lawley, Talladega National Forest,
Chilton County Motor Sports Park, Randolph, Lomax, Trio and I 65
Rest Area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
