Hurricane Melissa

I would say less "steers itself" and more "becomes strong enough to affect the normal steering currents". But even the strongest still can get pushed around by those currents.

Really starting to think a miss is more possible on Jamaica. If anything extreme western Jamaica unless this really does a hard right turn later. I think Melissa is lost in no steering flow currently and just meandering.

Cloud tops super cold. Absent EWRC, I think eye misses Jamica.

Been living on other side of world, Bali, for 5 years. What happened Jeff Mastter's website and blogs he started after Weather Wunderground? Just curious. Keeping close eye as I chase these for surging when stateside.

I expect a hard right turn, but I am hoping for Jamaica's sake I am wrong. I would LOVE to be wrong. I will dance a happy jig if I'm wrong.
