Severe WX May 2019 Plains Severe Event

Not much outside a mile of center.
Oh okay, I spent some time at IU in Bloomington one summer but I don't know much about the rest of Indiana.

No surprise these things are going nuts, mesoanalysis shows ESRH of 300-400 in this area. They're actually moving into an area of even stronger shear.

One of the most disconcerting effects of the EF-scale has been seeing that kind of destruction and realizing it didn't even take that strong of a tornado to do it. It's shocking how bad so much of the building construction in the US is.

That TDS is still going... reflectivity/velocity are not representative of the significance of that tornado I think.

A second circulation is wrapping up just SW of that one; about to have two significant nighttime tornadoes on the ground. The northern cell has lofted debris 15-20kft.

That's a really powerful circulation right over Brookville. The northern circulation is going to be crossing I-75 soon.

Debris ball on the Brookville storm and velocity swirl characteristic of really intense tornadoes. Yikes.
