I wonder what's causing those cells in western/central Illinois to struggle like that. On paper they're in a pretty favorable environment.

The little mini-supercells in Arkansas are struggling a bit too but obviously they have plenty of time to ramp up once the LLJ strengthens.
 
What about Alabama? Specifically NW.

I think it's gonna depend on what these cells here do as the low level jet starts cranking, figure we will probably get a line with gusty wind regardless but for tornado threat am waiting to see if anything can keep going and sustain across Mississippi
