DOH Bad Timing.
Horrible timing!!

Regardless of how far in advance is scheduled, I have to imagine the people who plan the updates still know when severe season in the south is (Nov-Apr).

How about we just schedule the upgrades… I don’t know, OUTSIDE of this timeframe? Go upgrade Iowa or something lol

Ready to say stick a fork in the discrete supercellular, significant tornado threat. Low-level shear must just have been too weak. Thought the amount of 3KM CAPE along with some outflow boundaries would compensate, and apparently SPC did too at 1630.
Things do look less cellular, but Dixie can always have a dumb trick up it’s sleeve

Yeah, damaging straight line winds and hail look like the more significant threat, at least right now. Though a few isolated tornadoes are certainly still possible. Hopefully the tornado threat doesn’t ramp back up to anything more than that.

Nasty bow coming through south-central Alabama now.

This may have been posted already, but man, the Troup County, GA damage from earlier this morning looks potentially violent. Looks like multiple homes and structures were completely flattened. NWS Atlanta will be responsible for the survey, and we know how liberal they are with their ratings as of late, so...

Trees down and structural damage reported near the Autauga County Airport per SPC. Saying possible tornado. Was there a circulation in that area?
