If the main tornado was still down, I’d like to think we’d be seeing a better cc image or storm chaser reports. It can definitely still be down, just not hearing much like we were earlier

Rather gusty winds and lightning with the little rogue cell that's tracked here from MS; blew over a bunch of boxes stacked outside, really glad parameters didn't allow that one to take off lol

The parameters over central Mississippi are still pretty conducive according to mesoanalysis, 1000+ CAPE and 400+ SRH.

Yeah, anything that shows up in that zone could become a troublemaker.

Well. Right on queue the 02z hrrr shows a significant supercell in that corridor of path of the current cell.

Let's hope the hrrr is wrong.. AGAIN lol

Well that sounds fun. Watching the radar here in Muscle Shoals. Not liking what I see and hear in the distance.

Yeah, definitely wouldn't write this one off yet. The convection that's down there now doesn't look very robust (kind of has that stretched stringy look) but if something does get going it's going to have a lot of shear and decent instability and moisture to work with.

The KGWX VAD is ridiculous. Around 400m2s2 SRH in the lowest 500 meters. A ton of streamwise vorticity available.

WTVA says possibly some damage near Guntown (still my favorite rural Mississippi town name), not sure if it's tornado or straight-line wind damage.

This system has also dropped some serious rain further to the north. Major flash flooding issues in MO and AR.
