Severe WX March 21-23 2022

New Tornado Watch forthcoming.

30 tornado reports, pretty good verification for a 15% hatch, although a surprising gap in reports across much of LA (other than the New Orleans cells) and deep south MS where I expected the greatest threat to be.

*Also up to 36 reports for yesterday, and the Jacksboro EF3 is *still* counted as straight-line wind (no tornado reports listed in Jack County).

This has to be the tornado video of the night so far from New Orleans.

Even the wind reports are filling in to justify the 45 - great SPC verification even if storm mode did not cooperate in the way the outlook was intended for

That one will go almost directly over mom's house in the northern outskirts of Gulf Shores, thankfully is awake and preparing

Now a spotter confirmed tornado, will be VERY close to mom's house if it hooks east any

There might be some massive hail falling just east of Talladega Springs, AL. 74-76 dBZ on reflectivity. That storm needs to be watched.

Did anyone see a TDS with the New Orleans tornado? Looked pretty noisy on CC and I couldn’t make one out. Maybe I missed it, but if not, this a perfect example of why one should never assume nothing is one the ground just because there isn’t a substantial CC drop.

It was there very briefly but the signature was not really representative of how strong it probably was

Believe it will go a few miles to the NW of the subdivision she is in as it's still going NNE, but there's more offshore I have to watch now haha
