If Winterset, IA, yesterday, and today aren't a clear warning signal to show you what this large scale La Nina background state is capable of, I just don't know what to tell you. TNI is high-end positive right now. We will have to watch every incoming system like a HAWK going forward.

More I think about it, more I realize this is acting like 2011...Not saying the rest of spring will resemble that, but...sounds like a classic warm-up to the big show, if you will...

Severe Tstm Warn in Shelby Co where TOR canceled. Tus CO Tor Watch canceled.

The Shelby Co. TDS was sampled at less than 750' at 0.5 degrees from KBMX; this event has been split about evenly between tornadoes amazingly close to NEXRAD sites, and ones maddeningly out in the middle of huge radar holes.
