Sounds like there's significant damage in St. Bernard Parish.
I was going to say Tuscaloosa. The T-town cams shows skylines. Cullman's cam didn't give 1. NOLA is/was in Mod Risk.reminds me of both the April 2011 Cullman and Tuscaloosa tornadoes
Some really REALLY scary video coming out
In the video above, posted by OHWX97, you can slow the video down around the 4-5 second mark and something with lights absolutely rotates around the tornado. There's some speculation that the Chalmette video shows car headlights being vaulted around the tornado, and now photos are coming in showing thrown and mangled cars; definitely a higher end tornado
Yeah. Obviously this didn't underperform in the Mod areas by the end of today. The dynamics just didn't reach as far north as projected/feared. I went to LSU for 2 years & still have friends in NOLA.If Winterset, IA, yesterday, and today aren't a clear warning signal to show you what this large scale La Nina background state is capable of, I just don't know what to tell you. TNI is high-end positive right now. We will have to watch every incoming system like a HAWK going forward.
