I believe a chaser reported a tornado near Lisman but the radar beam height there is appalling and almost impossible to tell anything about

Oh yeah the Eutaw cell is also heading right for T-Town, naturally. Maybe the T not only stands for Tuscaloosa, but also "tornado".

A segment that passed a few miles east of here just west of Jasper tried to spin up several minutes ago but hopefully wasn't able to translate that to the surface, fingers crossed instability is too marginal for that to keep happening but ya never know

NWS Birmingham has been incredibly restrained on issuing tornado warnings for some of these suspicious spots today. Total 180 from how NWS Jackson handled them. Not saying either of them are wrong in how they’ve handled it, but it’s interesting to look at how different they can be.
