Playing it conservative with the warnings was not a good call on BMXs end, as we have confirmed structural damage now. Waiting for a TDS to pop up before pulling the trigger should not be standard practice (even though there was a TDS near Eutaw).

That's one of the few areas still in a truly moderate risk level environment, scary potential down there

I agree, hate to say it. I wonder because Wheel of Fortune was airing was one reason why there was no warning. WOF is hugely popular in the Birmingham area and interrupting it causes a bunch of hate mail to Spann.

Gonna get a very low level look at the Mandeville cell as it comes ashore and moves very close to KLIX

I assure you, without a doubt, that the mets at BMX don't give a rat's behind about WOF.

The Tuscaloosa cell is taking that dreaded path into the north Bham suburbs. Definitely bears watching even though it’s broad, as that area clearly has some kind of geographic influence on storms.

Getting really lucky those two TOR warned cells are splitting the difference over metro New Orleans and moving basically over Lake Ponchartrain and unpopulated swampland. My worst-case scenario for today involved some combination of the February 2017 New Orleans and February 2013 Hattiesburg outbreaks on steroids.

Edit: I take that back, southern one is going through parts of the city.
