What’s going on with Ohio? We have zero snowfall/precipitation and it was forecasted to get here this afternoon. Temps aren’t even that low.

I was under the impression the heaviest snow wasn't supposed to arrive until after midnight.

Just a reminder: you can have freezing rain even if the temperature itself is above freezing. It's just the surfaces have to be cold enough that the rain freezes on contact. That's freezing rain.

Down to 35°. Raining off and on. Not sure we’ve gotten any freezing rain yet but there’s been sleet reported both north and south of us so I guess some could have mixed in. Feeling better about keeping power, although I’m worried about the wind kicking up after the front comes through.

Everything is a dern sheet of ice up here in Murfreesboro. Trees bending a bit, roads are impassable, and I have never seen ice laid out like this-- and the brunt hasn't even came yet. NOT excited.

Freezing rain seems to be propagating westward, as forecast. Shield of substantial precipitation feeding on Gulf moisture streaming northeastward will provide opportunity for accumulations across North Georgia. However, that same Gulf moisture is being accompanied by warm air, so we'll see how it and the CAD hammer things out.

The I-71 corridor from Cincy up into Columbus is fixing to get hammered during the overnight hours.

SUMMARY...Heavy snow band development is anticipated through the
next several hours across portions of the Ohio River Valley.
Snowfall rates exceeding 1 inch/hour appear probable later tonight.

DISCUSSION...A broad band of heavier precipitation is beginning to
emerge from northern AR into the lower OH Valley per regional radar
mosaics over the past 1-2 hours. This comes amid strengthening
frontogenesis through a deep layer (925-700 mb per recent
mesoanalyses) as the primary upper wave begins to migrate eastward
into the southern Plains. Latest forecast guidance shows
intensifying frontogenesis across the lower MS Valley into the OH
Valley through 09-12 UTC, which will support further
organization/intensification of a focused mesoscale precipitation
band. With mid-level temperatures below freezing north of the OH
River, snow should remain the predominant precipitation type.
Moderate snowfall rates will be common with a focused corridor of
higher rates (in excess of 1 inch/hour) likely. Per recent ensemble
guidance, this corridor will most likely emerge across southern IL
into southern IN and southwest OH.

These solutions also depict optimal banding potential during the
09-12 UTC period later tonight into early Sunday morning. However,
recent ASOS/AWOS observations from southern IL and southern IN have
shown an uptick in snowfall intensity (denoted by reduced
visibilities to 1/2 mile or less) over the past hour. These trends
suggest that the onset of heavier snowfall rates may commence
earlier than currently anticipated by most guidance as intermittent
moderate to heavy snow bands becomes more prominent with time.

Well, so much for this being Louisville's biggest snow since the big one. Only a few more inches forecast today. I feel sorry for the mets up here, what are they supposed to do when every single model spits out at least a foot of snow?
