January 23-25th Winter Wx

NAM is coming in considerably south of previous runs. The high is pressing down. Warm nose still spread across Alabama though
Yeah, pretty noticeable trend here. Most of Alabama still firmly above freezing, but much of the northern half of Georgia is covered by CAD.

It's funny - y'all over in GA are talking about never underestimate the CAD because you've been burned, while we're over here in AL saying never underestimate the warm nose, because it's killed our chances so many times.

This could still FCAD either way, but the evidence of the moment is certainly in favor of team cold.

*mutters* I just wanted snow, I just wanted some snow.

And we'll be having the opposite conversation during severe season lol!! CAD is really kind of a neat mystery of weather although I'm sure it makes forecasting a complete nightmare.

I would happily concede the battle to you and keep my lights on, but unfortunately that HP trending stronger and stronger is going to make this wedge a monster.

Yeah, a 1050 doesn't play. Ever.

Y'all know the feeling the day before a big boxing match, when both the fighters look unbeatable, and you realize it's going to be a monster of a fight?

Yeah... That.

Something I don't understand is why so many people are buying milk and eggs before an event that's supposed to knock out power for a week. Make sure to stock up on the smelliest possible items when spoiled!
Anyone who lets milk spoil after a winter storm doesn't have much walking around sense, IMO. Put it outside. :D

Or anything spoil. I had 2 coolers outside for a week in '93 before my power came back on. One with snow in it for frozen items, one without for fresh items such as milk and cheese. Moved them to the shade when it got above freezing. I hunted a lot back then. I fed half the neighborhood wild game cooked on my gas grill and charcoal smoker.
