I was just about to ask if there have been any signs of weakening, so this answers my question. But I am still concerned about the information in the Hurricane Hunter's Vortex data.

Yep, they said that the higher winds found aloft by the Hurricane Hunters were acknowledged but couldn't be confirmed by dropsonde. Hence, they said that Isaias may be "gustier" than usual for a hurricane as some of these stronger winds shuffle to the surface.

shear looks to be finally winning as modeled. thankfully this thing doesn’t look to be a cat4 beast. 3 is plenty strong to rearrange a lot.

I hope there are no incidents with those driving to Tuscaloosa for the game tomorrow for the big game. I assume ESPN College Gameday has a generator should Coleman Coliseum lose power. Meanwhile, tonight’s Jonas Brothers Concert at the Birmingham Civic Center has been postponed.
