We are just 4 days removed from the statistical peak of the Atlantic season and we have another problematic Cape Verde tropical wave on our hands. If this stays at a low latitude and begins development upon approach to the Caribbean, I think we may have a significant system on our hands.

Thank you for making this thread. The operational GFS dropped development for several runs, but has it back now. It’s never lost ensemble support, and many other globals have at least some organization of this Invest as it tracks westward. Significant organization is forecast to take place by middle of next week.

Nice convection with this invest, and maybe it’ll form, but globals aren’t really suggesting this is the area to develop anymore. There’s a wave coming off Africa that they’ve latched onto for development.

Invest 94L has some time left for development before it hits a wall of unfavorable wind shear. I think its future depends on what it can do from now till then. If somehow it can get a closed low before that shear than it may have a future on the other side next week.
