Hurricane Hurricane Milton

We tried to control hurricanes once, didn't work so well. There's no way the government controls hurricanes.

But anyway...

Milton still appears to be reorganizing.
The technology to do that ( if ever ) is at least a hundred years away. I doubt it's even possible then.

Looks to me like the shear is just far enough way to provide some poleward exhaust but not messing with with the core.
I dislike the all the trends. A bigger 5 after the EWRC, big moisture fetch up the channel, shear venting, and while the dry air on the back side is obvious, it's meeting the big moisture feed and just creating a convection engine out of the mix.

Wondering if Milton will achieve peak intensity his night.
Passes over the loop current, S-N feed of moisture up the Yucatan channel about 10pm - it will be a happy storm with those things, that much I can say for certain.

My Hurricane Milton file. 181 satellite imagery saved thus far for PowerPoint.

Recon is almost there. Thank the lord we have avoided recon plane mechanical issues this season.

If I see any of that crap on this forum, the person posting it will disappear permanently. I was trying to educate people on X, but there's just too many idiots, not enough time. Some of them are even saying NEXRAD radar is causing storms. My patience is gone.

A lot of brains were broken by the last decade of our rancorous political environment, and, later, COVID. Conspiracy theories that were previously relegated to the fever swamps of the extreme edges of political, social, and cultural environments are now mainstream. There are several adversaries of our country that are beyond thrilled by this development.

It is unfortunate that it has cost people their lives and has weakened this great country we all are so fortunate to be a part of.

ADT (Advanced Dvorak Technique) has Milton at 7.2

Waiting on NHC for official confirmation, but it looks like Milton is indeed a category 5 again.

ADT (Advanced Dvorak Technique) has Milton at 7.2

7.4 now after the last scan. 7.7 raw. Unquestionably a Cat 5 again.

Yall may want to listen to Denis Phillips live on Facebook tonight. He's basically Tampa Bay's James Spann, only he's hurricanes instead of tornadoes. He goes live at 7 EDT/6 CDT pm. But you need to subscribe to watch. You can also watch on the ABC Action News Tampa Bay website, but with commercial breaks.
