Satellite imagery doesn't show much more than a very broad, and disorganized area of storms. There's a lot of work to be done if we are going to see a storm soon. Also, a pretty sheared environment sits to the west so if nothing can get its act together in a big way then it'll have more troubles doing so later. So far.... everything looks, and feels like this is just another 99L. But, I see better potential in anything that comes of this to be a US threat.

thunderstorms. This system is moving westward at 15 to 20 mph,

for development during the next several days, and interests in the
Lesser Antilles should monitor the progress of this system.

eastern Caribbean Sea on Friday.
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
The disturbance is expected to become a tropical cyclone later
today or tonight, and it could become a tropical storm before
reaching the Windward islands.
If the current trends continue, the system will likely become a
tropical cyclone later today or tonight. An Air Force Reserve

Grantley Adams International Airport on Barbados recently reported a
pressure of 1006 mb (29.71 inches).

RAINFALL: Harvey is expected to produce rainfall totals of 2 to 4

southward to Grenada. These rains could cause life-threatening
flash floods and mudslides.

DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK
------------------------------
At 800 AM AST (1200 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Harvey was
located near latitude 13.0 North, longitude 60.3 West. Harvey is
moving toward the west near 18 mph (30 km/h), and a continued
westward motion with a slight increase in forward speed is expected
over the next couple of days. On the forecast track, Harvey should
move through the Windward Islands and into the eastern Caribbean Sea
this morning.
Maximum sustained winds remain near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher
gusts. Some slight strengthening is possible during the next 48
hours.
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km)
mainly to the north of the center.
