It appears a series of disturbances along a stalled out boundary will bring a threat for widespread flooding across southeast.

It is crazy how anchored the trough remains out west through 2 weeks. This is a precursor to some major river flooding (sort of like 2011 with the record Mississippi River floods).

March 1973 had significant flooding in Huntsville. https://www.weather.gov/hun/hunsurold_march1973flood
Finally found some road names for reference:

I thought this was near Bob Wallace but wasn't sure

Planning on a lot of rain next week in Chattanooga. Local mets have totals ranging from 3"-12". On average they are calling for 4" locally but emphasise some models are spitting out insane amounts of rain totalling up to a foot. I have a bad feeling there will be major flooding in areas of the valley with mud and rock slides on the local mountain roads [emoji44]

A bit of good news is it seems mesoscale guidance seems to be tempering QPF through early Wednesday. Nothing outrageous but a widespread 2-3" which I think most places can handle if it spread out over a day or two.

That's good news from a flooding threat but that may be yet another major L for HUN and Huntsville broadcast mets who are still dealing with blows to their credibility from the public after the snow fiasco a few weeks ago. That worries me.
