Fall(ish) Weather 2019

I hope this is enough to start recharging the aquifers. The creek near my house got flowing after the last round of rain, but was bone dry before this most recent round.

We moved to Austin in 2007 and I have never seen temps this cold here this early. We had a freeze with this last system, which usually happens in January if it does at all.

Worries me because we are way overdue for an ice storm. The last major ice storm happened just before we arrived and there are a lot more dangerous roadways built since then.

Hope that's not going to happen!

It snowed in the high elevations of the Smokies late last week. I saw some pics today on FB where a friend had hiked to the top of Mt. Leconte and you can still seem it on the ground

And just like summer then winter!!

Forgot to post this picture of the Tidal Basin I took on a very cold day a couple of weeks ago.

Well, you can’t say Fall 2019 was boring!! Especially in Dixie Alley!
We were in the 100’s in Sept-Oct, then some frigid to the bone temps, snow and a tornado outbreak!

What will winter bring us till March 20th!! We have a thread for that!!
