It’s not going to feel like fall in the south anytime soon!

We will be experiencing our second severe weather season but right now it’s hot and dry!!

We got one nice day fall-like day yesterday (75 and even some rain!) but it’s back to 86 today and 95 tomorrow -_-

We set all time record highs for the month of October in many locations today in Alabama. Several 100+ readings.
There’s a good chance that we’ll do the same today. The record is 96.

0.01” of rain in September for Tuscaloosa’s official reporting station.
We got 0.25” this month. The 0.14” we got on Monday more than doubled our total for the previous 29 days.

I think we’re still running a couple of inches above the annual average because of how wet this spring was but were in moderate drought now.

I guess I should quit complaining though. 84 tomorrow and then upper 60s to mid 70s through the end of next week.

Same. We’re running about 2-3” above normal. Had some pretty hefty totals in spring and a pretty good July/August and then the bottom fell out the past month.

I sure am looking forward to a cool down, this heat has been relentless.
Most of the trees are turning straight to brown, I was hoping for some pretty fall foliage.
