I hope bid day festivities in Tuscaloosa don’t mess that up.
The pictures coming out of Tuscaloosa from this past weekend were ridiculous. That's why I supported the schools going virtual. On the plus side, all of the concerns about the bars and restaurants suffering economically were alleviated!I hope bid day festivities in Tuscaloosa don’t mess that up.
What’s sad are the locals have been doing everything right trying by following guidelines. Most of the students I’ve seen, not going to the bars, but around town at stores and in larger groups have been doing things right. I just want to scream, for the love of all that is holy, WEAR THE MASKS!The pictures coming out of Tuscaloosa from this past weekend were ridiculous. That's why I supported the schools going virtual. That’s the first brick to fall on the ACC front that will lead to season cancellation by them.UNC had to transition to online classes after one week because their student positivity rate went from less than 3% to over 13%. Doesn't bode well for the other schools starting up on campus right now.
Based on the pictures I've seen from various colleges, I'd be shocked if UNC is alone. That’s the first brick to fall on the ACC front that will lead to season cancellation by them.
Interesting thread. I suggest y’all give it a read.

It’s only 14 day online. Will resume when testing numbers go down.Notre Dame has now cancelled classes. 8 days in.
UA has a 29% positivity rate, but 90% of the overflow quarantine rooms are open. So, I'm not sure what's going on if the 400-ish isolation beds are largely still empty. It’s my understanding that students went to a designated location to receive their Covid test before returning to campus. However, the student was given the q-tip swab to insert into each nostril. Do you really think the test was administered properly? I’m very skeptical of the results from some of these tests. We currently have an “undetermined” number of students in quarantine at UNA.
Apparently, travel restrictions, school closures, social distancing, and mask wearing have all but stopped flu from spreading in South Africa. Similar stories have emerged from Australia, New Zealand, and parts of South America.
