College Football 2018 Season

Sources within the program are saying that they are going to experiment with allowing Dixieland Delight to be played against Mizzou this weekend but if "F--- Auburn" is chanted it will be taken away again and most likely be permanent.

Yeah this has been rumored for this weekend to keep the students around. Probably gonna get an email from Byrne about this tomorrow.

Malzhan’s hot seat is scorching as Auburn loses to Tennessee 30-24 after Auburn turned the ball over several times, which lead to points. This win snaps the Vols 11 game SEC losing streak.

LSU upset Georgia in Baton Rouge today. The LSU vs Bama game in a few weeks should decide the SEC West. However Bama seems a little off this evening as they have committed a turnover and aren’t blowing out Mizzou right now.

Alabama had an off night but still beat Mizzou 39-10. The real story from the game is Tua Tungaviola injuring his leg/knee. We will have to see if that injury costs him some game time.

In my opinion, we played our most complete game defensively. Tua has a bruised knee (I've had one before and usually takes about a week or two to get better depending on the severity). Only big injury is Devonta Smith with a pulled muscle...those are tricky to heal.

Nick Bosa has quit the Ohio State football team to help his draft stock according to sources.

While that's karma for their human garbage of a head coach, it goes to show that college football is in many ways essentially just turning into an NFL development league complete with borderline free agency with star players transferring to other schools because they lost playing time and, in this case, a star player quitting altogether to improve his draft stock. Not sure how I feel about this.

Wasn't he injured though? I can't blame him for focusing on rehab and not winning games...

Otherwise, I think this 4 game redshirt transfer BS is bad for the game.

He was but he was expected to return within a game or two from what I've gathered. He opted to not return period and instead focus entirely on the draft from the information I've seen.

Granted I'm not complaining because I legitimately hate OSU more than any other non-SEC team and I firmly believe the sport is better when that toxic fanbase and organization is irrelevant like they were in 2011-2012, but the whole turning CFB into essentially an NFL D-league is something I'm not sure about.

Judging the online reaction over Saban's appearance in a WV political ad, you would figure he might as well have organized the NFL kneeling himself. I wouldn't necessarily vote for his endorsed candidate if I lived there but come on people get too hung up over politics at times.

interesting note ~for entertainment purposes only ~ Alabama is a perfect 7-0 against the spread in the 1st half this year.

Eh, maybe. I can understand why Tennessee fans have renewed hope with the AU win, but if Tua's knee is healthy, I doubt UT can keep this within 3-4 TDs.
hope tua gets to play... vols want bamas best... i expect curv stomping in knoxville by the tide.... but what goes around comes around... just matter time we can do the same...

The real game is Tua vs his knee. That's going to be beyond depressing if he goes down and he's out for an extended period of time. We can win a title without him but he has just made us so much fun to watch. He plays like Drew Brees and the offense is a lot like the Saints' offense.
