Severe WX April 29-May 2nd, 2022 Severe Weather Threat

A late April day with the main story being a destructive Andover tornado... history repeats itself it seems!

Fascinating how low precip the hook was making it extremely visible (likely due to the high base in both cases) and how far to the left it hooked as the meso cycled over

That's just bizzare. Your eye would naturally follow what appears to be the main meso moving ENE, while the tornado heads up the back side of the storm to the NNW. Nothing about the forecast for today would have led me to expect such deviant motion. Also dangerous because I believe the warning text said "moving northeast" so if you heard that as a civilian (and if you were even passingly familiar with "typical" Plains tornadic supercell morphology and behavior) you'd be looking for the tornado to come out of the southwest, not SSE. Fortunately this was a highly visible tornado.
