Severe WX April 11th-13th, 2020 Severe Weather Threat

65 on the back porch thermometer, still feels cool out but it's certainly rising

New tornado warning for a circulation near Ackerman, MS. Doesn’t look particularly intense though.

Edit: TDS. It’s on the ground.

VWP at both BMX and GWX are insane. Wind profiles are indeed as ridiculous as models were painting

Another Tornado warning coming for Winston County, MS.

It seems like the eastward progression of the line is outpacing the northward progression of the warm front. I wonder if the line can get into Alabama quickly enough that no discrete cells have time to form out in front and take advantage of the warm sector.
With the line not fully congealed and multiple supercellular structures within it, as the trough pivots negative tilt (currently neutral), the flow will allow them to become more discrete. The line doesn't seem that much faster than modeling.

Honestly the current radar presentation looks exactly like what the HRRR was suggesting yesterday, with a line segment in NE MS and isolated cells starting to break out to the south, I think we're basically on track just waiting to see what the warm sector does

I think Alabama is still mostly on track. MDT won't materialize for a lot of MS, but some areas are still under the gun and Alabama certainly looks on track for a rough ride.

Yeah, starting to think this is going to be a evening/nighttime, Alabama centric event. Still plenty of time for things to get crazy.

Temps just hit 60.5 in Meridianville. Dew Point and temps rising according to my WX station.

I don't have the latest ops but I can confirm that NE Bham just turned a lot warmer/just had the warm front come thru. The wind just started kicking in too.

Moderate maintained

And still no tornado watch for whatever reason despite a tornado warning two counties from the state line
