Severe WX April 1-2 (overnight) Severe Weather Event

Just anecdotally, about 10-12 degree spreads, maybe 15 max seems ideal to get tornadoes that you can actually see. IIRC that's what we had on days like 3/31/23 and 4/26/24. Less than 10 degrees and you start getting grungy, ground-scraping cloud bases.
800m or below has always been my measuring stick for a very favorable LCL height. You can have tornadoes with higher LCLs.

BMX also mentioned this a decade ago in their release. https://www.weather.gov/bmx/research_falsealarms

I won't be able to follow the event much longer but you all have a blast tonight. I'm sure there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth one way or the other.
