2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season

The wave behind it has me worried since it’s at a bit lower latitude and has a more westerly than northerly track and isn’t forecast to recurve as quickly as Kirk.
Still a ways out, but yeah, I don't like that.

Kirk is the first major Atlantic hurricane on reliable record at 19.5N 44.5W in the month of October.
 
We have Orange again. Not surprising.

Obviously this is in model la-la land, but wow I hope the GFS isn't on to something around the 20th and 21st for Florida.

A repetitive hurricane hammering of Florida has always been a possibility. There's just no way to prepare for or deal with it if it happens. Hoping it doesn't.

That track in particular was a beast - straight up the east coast of Florida, starting with a big blow to Miami, then crossing to the Gulf. Total nightmare track.
