I remember seeing somewhere about next week.
I saw that this morning. I am not happy for you, folks east of here.GFS run for 18z on October 5.
GFS is still insisting on another system in the Gulf the first week of October.
I started a thread for her thinking it was the Oct 5 system… it’s not lolWe now have Joyce in the Atlantic.

"2. Western Caribbean:
An area of low pressure could form over the western Caribbean Sea by
the middle of next week. Environmental conditions are expected to be
conducive for slow development thereafter while the system moves
generally northwestward, potentially entering the Gulf of Mexico by
the end of next week.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...low...30 percent."
Joyce and her orange stalker also look pretty fishy. Unfortunately there's also the lemon in the W Caribbean thoughI do appreciate Isaac fully embracing the "fish storm" designation.
I personally don't think so, as it's pretty clearly (knocking on wood right now) going to stay out to sea. It would be nice to have a strong system to gawk at with no chance of impacting land for a change.Does Kirk merit a thread given that it’s probably going to become a major? Not sure if there’s much point in creating a thread for a fish storm but it’s gonna be an ACE merchant if nothing else.
The wave behind it has me worried since it’s at a bit lower latitude and has a more westerly than northerly track and isn’t forecast to recurve as quickly as Kirk.
