My view is that it was a justified use of deadly force although I can understand why others believe there might have been alternatives. Nonetheless, the narrative being pushed by certain people that an "unarmed black man was shot in the back" is absolutely false. The man who was killed violently resisted arrest, stole a Taser, and then shot the other officer with the Taser. The officer was actually lucky he didn't end up incapacitated and have his firearm taken. A significant number of people won't see it that way, so this incident is hurt more dry kindling for the fire.
Unfortunately, the Mayor of Atlanta chose to try to pacify the citizens of her city by throwing the officer under the bus. Before Floyd was unjustifiably murdered by Chauvin, this shooting would've been ruled justified fairly quickly. Now, I'm not sure it will be, and that's going to cause the police to stop enforcing the law or making arrests in any type of volatile situation, or they'll be resigning in droves.
Ultimately, these kind of knee-jerk quick fixes to longstanding situations will result in unintended consequences. Things like good officers being replaced with less experienced or lower quality applicants or major manpower shortages. There are substantial issues with our current system of policing, but real reform and change takes deliberate efforts and a painstaking process to make sure second/third order effects don't result in a worse system and outcome than under the previous one. I don't think most of the angry mob or even some activists have that level of patience.

Look we can point out every mistake everyone makes all the time or maybe just maybe you could find something positive to say. You remind me of the news cycle. All bad news all the time never anything positive about anything unless it fits your narrative. Sounds like CNN to me.
If you're referring to his tweet from earlier today, this is a gross misrepresentation of what he was saying.
I agree. When you listen to what he has been talking about, even from a month ago, he talks about the tests maybe overrated.
I don't follow what all he says that closely because it usually makes my head hurt to listen to, I had just happened to see the reaction to his tweet earlier today. His point on this was simple: more testing -> more cases. Having more cases makes us look bad, but the testing capacity is actually a good thing.
He used his usual verbiage which make it sound annoying while making a valid point.

I sure did. I don’t feel like I am. He’s talking about the optics of the situation. Which is ridiculous. Our testing is not bigger and better. It was slow to get ramped up, which is one of the many reasons we are still having case growth.
I don’t necessarily disagree with your post here, other than I don’t see how your original quote relates to it.

Fair enough, I misunderstood your reasoning for posting the original quote. My bad on that.
I waded into the cesspool that is political Twitter yesterday, and there's a whole faction of people out there that think Trump believes the testing causes the cases, thus he was implying that if we stopped testing, we could stop the disease. I see that stuff and I just shake my head. He says enough dumb stuff already, people don't have to try hard to find something stupid he says. Making up additional things only waters down the rest of the actual dumb stuff he says.
I disagree with your statement that stopping testing would stop the disease.
I like many others believe that the testing is flawed, overdone, and only done to try and get money. How do I know this, my daughter went to a doc in the box for something minor but still needed taken care of. She had already been tested two days prior for COVID, yet this doc in the box made her be retested. Why do you think that is?
The other part is how many of these cases are false positive or false negative.

Plain and simple the test is not accurate, people are abusing it, and the president is merely pointing out that fact.

The president is supposed to use facts and data, it anecdotal evidence. The fact is, we need to test heavily with the best tests available.

Dates of when each were said My friend. Put it in context. Two weeks ago Oklahoma was in decline. Today they are increasing in Oklahoma. Timing matters not your opinion.
