It was a question of when, not if.
Shooter's manifesto said this:
"2nd and 3rde gneration Hispanics form interracial unions at much higher rates than average. Yet another reason to
send them back."
Why does that seem so familiar? Why does that sound like we've heard it before? Seems indistinguishable from the chants at recent Trump rallies.
At some point and time, good people of this country are going to have to realize that the rhetoric being tolerated and/or promoted by Trump is having a disastrous effect on our country.
Also from the shooter's manifesto:
"My ideology has not changed for several years. My opinions on automation, immigration, and the rest
predate Trump and his campaign for president. I put
ting this here because some people will blame the
President or certain presidential candidates for the attack."
Why have so many of these shooters gone out of their way to say don't blame Trump? The New Zealand shooter made similar comments. Why is Trump so important to these shooters that one of their primary concerns is protecting him from blame? Especially considering the manifesto railed against politicians in other parts. And why say your opinions predate Trump and his campaign? Seems to be blatant acknowledgement that the shooter believes Trump and his campaign share the same racial hatred and supremacist rhetoric that forms his ideology.
If you go out of your way to try to protect a political thought leader from blame, yet tacitly acknowledge that you share a similar worldview with that leader, shouldn't we start questioning why that leader is inflaming our country with such hatred to begin with?
