Is this guy furreal? He says he's in the photo and apologies.. then says he isn't in the photo but he did darken his skin to look like Michael Jackson at one point..
Maybe that excuse would fly if you didn't initially look at the photo and basically say "yup, that's me. Woops."
Who is this guy trying to fool? My thoughts: He probably thought he'd be able to apologize and get on with his job.. but once he realized he'd have to resign due to pressure, he wants to backtrack and say he isn't in that photo (which I'm willing to bet he considered doing initially).
And his third trimester abortion thing is ridiculous and sickening. I'm pro-choice but only to a certain extent. Once you get to the point where you have a viable life inside of you, and it can survive with neonatal ICU support outside of the mother (which is becoming younger and younger) then it's too late to terminate your pregnancy. Nobody should be waiting more than 10-12wks maximum for an abortion. I understand accidents happen and a child would entirely ruin one's life & future. Waiting a few years to get a college diploma and a stable job, a stable companion then having a kid is better for the mother, child and family. But you don't get to be 32+ weeks and decide not to have it. That ship has sailed and I agree mostly with others at that point, it's basically murder. I think parents have the right & freedom to make that decision but once that fetus is viable from a clinical standpoint (as detailed above) then abortion should be off the table.. and then some. I think abortion should be restricted weeks before complete viability too.
I'm sure a big question people would have is "when does it start and stop being murder?" And to that I say ... The idea that any abortion at any age is murder, is reasonable and understood. That's a belief to respect. I encourage anyone with those beliefs to live by them. The idea that abortions before fetal viability would not be considered murder is also reasonable. I think parents have the freedom to believe the latter or the former, and they have a right over what they do and what their body is doing. I don't think people and parents have the right to impose their beliefs on other people in consideration of early term abortion. Mid/late term abortion is a different story to me, because now you can have a clinically viable infant.
In conclusion, Governor Northam is an idiot, his beliefs are jacked and he needs to resign.
