Severe WX March 26th-27th, 2023

I knew there was severe weather forecasted and today could definitely overpeform, but I didn’t pay as much attention to it as the event on Friday, or for a better term, study it.

When and where are things expected to ramp back up? I know last night the models had a couple of lulls throughout the day

CAMs forecast intermittent activity throughout the day in South/Central AL, with a QLCS moving through those areas late in the evening. I imagine flooding will become a problem here.

Would have to imagine so, especially over parts of MS and AL.

Of course that spike in probabilities is right near the nonfunctional KMXX radar.

All of those cells across southern Alabama apear to be organizing and showing signs of weak rotation. I wouldn’t rule out a possible tornado if they continue getting their act together.

Yes, I don't think the current ones pose much risk for tornadoes right now.

Yeah that was has the most potential at the moment, although relatively low. Better low level wind shear in the southwest portion of Alabama than the other cell although not by much.

Naturally I wake up and see that not one but two significant tornadoes have already hit Georgia. Geez...

Looks like imo the highest tornado threat will along a line near Selma to Montgomery later this evening higher low level shear.

Seems like maybe a maritime boundary around there
