Suspicious looking storm on the Cherokee/Pickens county line in GA
Preach! I'm 103 miles from my WFO, have two that are closer in other states. Completely in a radar hole from all, though.I will maintain what I've said in other threads over the past few years. One of the biggest failures of American government over the past 25 years is that we don't have triple (or more) the number of WSR-88D sites that we currently have
Went to check the publicly available feeds and pretty much all of it was offline.Sounds like there's some serious comms problems in Newnan as a result of the tornado.
That's right through downtown.“Catastrophic damage” reported along Hwy. 34 in Newnan

Remember when chasing in the deep south wasn't a thing? Sure is now, and drones are changing the game, as they get the clearest views of typical Dixie torndoes, which are usually haze-covered, tree obscured, low LCL wedges. What a beast! I have to say, the use of drones to film tornadoes in the southeast has been a godsend.
