This one is a LEO report. That storm has produced a ton of large hail this afternoon.

I can't recall a non MCS situation where we had tornado situations in the Athens area and Birmingham area almost at the same time. May have been 2003.

It had a very strange signature, that's for sure. Kept seeing a TDS when nothing was on the ground.

I'm not sure why you think nothing was on the ground. A TDS itself means it is on the ground.

It was on the ground with that TDS. BMX thinks the radar beam was being blocked due to Oak Mountain.
