He said that she was a sinner, which is true. He also said it's not my place to punish her, which is true.

You missed the most important line in the verses posted. John 8:11 ...And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”

If government or churches were more involved in social welfare then they wouldn't need to foot such a giant healthcare bill. I'm all for any organization to take up that burden and I would want my tax dollars to go towards it... It's a good investment for the nation. Of course, it's an immensely complex problem and any solution has to be an efficient and effective program which federal systems seem to have many struggles with. Who wouldn't want to take a little off the top of that pile of money?
Hardly anyone wants to throw resources into something that won't show it's benefit for years to decades. It's like giving a toddler the option between a popsicle now or two popsicles in 5 hours. Very few will take the latter.

Lots of reports coming out detailing US casualties. Seems like a lot of it doesn’t agree. Let’s be sure to be careful what we repost.

I hope this doesn’t escalate any more.

This is exactly why we have typically used covert ops for this type of stuff.

Apperently the Pentagon confirmed that Iran fired dozens of ballistic missiles at Al-Asad Base and another base from in Iran. God, I hope cooler heads prevail.

Word is up to 4,000 U.S. troops are stationed there. I can't find any actual verification of that, but considering is the second largest airbase in Iraq...

Dod has confirmed that Iran launched ballistic missiles from their territory. Not even proxy forces using rockets. Pretty major escalation, and it's one o don't quite understand. Completely abandoning plausible deniability, and using ballistic missiles. The US is guaranteed to take that as a major escalation yet Iran accomplished very little.

My initial reaction is that now Iran is trying out the "mad man" form of retaliation similar to Trump's unpredictable responses to Iran over the past 12 months.

Iran claims to have seven well-developed strike plans they will use/pick from if the United States retaliates.

If we have no casualties I hope we are very careful and deliberate in our response instead of immediately escalating things.

Do we not have missile defense systems?
We do. It’s very hard to take out swarms of missiles without some getting through. Iran is not Iraq. They don’t just lob a few and hope to get lucky. They shoot a ton and increase their odds greatly.

This is all so unnecessary.

I’m afraid we have lost troops, exactly what this was supposed to avoid.

I may end up being wrong, but I think it is possible Iran may have targeted parts of the bases away from housing/mess/admin areas hoping to avoid American casualties but demonstrating they could have inflicted casualties.

I don't think we will see any American deaths or serious injuries from the current attack. If we did, then we all know all bets are off. But, I think it there were American injuries or deaths we'd have already heard about it.
