Severe WX May 2019 Plains Severe Event

I think this is well south of where the 15/hatched was. Seems like the way it usually goes.

New Mexico and Southwest Texas/TX Panhandle have been absolutely crushing it this year. From a chasing perspective this may be the region's best year this decade at least. Absolutely beautiful and sparsely populated terrain out there so it's a good place for constant tornadic activity too.

Yeah honestly I think I want to buy property near Fort Stockton because I have legitimately lost track of the days with absolutely classic slow moving long lived rotating supercells there alone. Could make a small fortune with photography there this year I think.

Have fun being the "1" in a "Population: 1" tornado warning

I think the streak in May 2003 would come pretty close, with the April 30-May 11 streak, but there could be longer sequences. May 21-31 2004 is also on up there. Hard to find details on older dates. We're getting pretty close if the 2003 record IS the record.

Little shower-blobs dropping wedge tornadoes that have reportedly damaged or destroyed numerous buildings... this probably doesn't bode well for this afternoon when parameters increase further

Some April 9, 2015-esque threats today. Anything coming out of Iowa is bound to have some surprises involved.

Isolated cell between Aurora and Joliet producing very large hail and getting a suspicious radar signature... if the developing hook decides to produce it's going to go very close to KLOT. Anything dropping here will deal with high populations too.

Hearing reports of significant damage to homes, a fertilizer plant, and the fairgrounds in Charles City, IA from the wedge tornado earlier.
