Storm relative velocity subtracts storm motion, so you generally use it when looking for tornadic signatures.

Per WTVA, multiple-vortex tornado reported by UAH mobile mesonet vehicle near Burnsville, MS. Large debris signature also detected on KGWX radar over that area as well.
