That's super odd for August but models aren't locked in yet. A lot of variance, so i would hold off. One thing for sure, this is not your average August setup though.

It's July and there's a tornadic storm heading my way. Athens gets their worst weather in the summer, I swear.
Just your typical Marginal and Slight Risk for flash flooding both Friday/Saturday. I can see the Slight Risk for Saturday being expanded back more into MS.
Check out the 18z euro. Pretty good for a summertime event here in the southeast. I like it. I think a risk outline will come tomorrow
1006mb low on the nam moving west to east from Arkansas to Tennessee. Drop that down 3-4 mb and it’s gonna be oof.

Kind suprised SPC mentions. Tornado risk could develop over parts Tennessee into Kentucky for Saturday afternoon .
I think we will need to see a increase in shear for any sizable threat.

Although this is a highly anomalous event for this time of year in the Deep South. A drop in pressure is a very real possibility. Especially getting into the CAM range. My eyes are glued. Never experienced a August event in Alabama loll

HRRR has a unusual setup in E KS on Thursday. MCV like profiles with 90/72, and instability could be underestimated. But a SE moving supercell could pose a isolated threat for a tornado or two. Will continue to monitor that.
