5/5-5-6 2026 severe threat

Hey everyone,
I’ve been following this forum for quite a while now and just wanted to say thank you. I fully recognize I’m way out of my depth, but I’ve learned a lot just by reading along.

Being from south Mississippi, it’s not really a matter of if but when, so I appreciate the time, effort, and expertise that go into the posts and analysis.

I don’t plan to jump in often or take up space, but I did want to at least say thanks for what you all contribute here. It’s valuable for those of us just trying to learn from the sidelines.

We've got KPOE, KHDC and KDGX all within a car ride of this Louisiana storm, but the radar views of it from every single one are pretty abysmal. KMXX has a good shot of the storm west of Montgomery, though, and it's got a nice inflow notch on it.

That might place some limitations on crapvection, but it could also make it harder for actually strong updrafts to get going. We shall see what ultimately ends up happening...
