Velocity on the Montgomery cell doesn't show anything that screams out tornadic to me, but the inflow is clearly strong, so it may be getting ready to do something. It's a BMX TOR, so I'll take them at their word.

I’ve been following this forum for quite a while now and just wanted to say thank you. I fully recognize I’m way out of my depth, but I’ve learned a lot just by reading along.

Being from south Mississippi, it’s not really a matter of if but when, so I appreciate the time, effort, and expertise that go into the posts and analysis.

I don’t plan to jump in often or take up space, but I did want to at least say thanks for what you all contribute here. It’s valuable for those of us just trying to learn from the sidelines.

AWN has a lowered cloud base on Montgomery skycams. Nothing imminently tornadic-looking, but definitely a concerning situation given its proximity to a major population center.

Tornadogenesis increasingly possible, with hook echo intensifying as the cell approaches Montgomery. A lot of high-density roadways in the path, including I-65.

TOR Watch had been expanded to include BARBOUR, BULLOCK, CHAMBERS, LEE, MACON, PIKE, and RUSSELL Counties in Alabama

This would definitely explain the tornadic nature of this supercell: SRH significantly higher than previously modelled earlier today across Alabama and Georgia. Will likely continue to overspread both states as the evening progresses.

If this Montgomery supercell goes through tornadogenesis I think a strong tornado will drop. Dangerous situation for Montgomery imo

This storm near Montgomery with a well timed surge could drop a significant tornado soon. That strong inflow ans convergence signature warrants concern.

This supercell has a fairly classic sigtor close time look to it atm, the signature just really needs to focus in that main vicinity. Right now, looking pretty broad but need to watch closely

Currently, the rotation is fairly broad, though the wind speeds themselves remain very strong. Always hate these types of storms, because they often hang on like this for an hour before dropping something nasty.
