After how much of a failure it was yesterday, I don't forsee that happening. I'm thinking the severe risk is over save for isolated reports of lower-end wind and hail.

The MCS that was over East Tennessee last night has made it all the way to northern Florida this afternoon where a severe thunderstorm watch is in effect.

It will be interesting to see how this afternoon progresses. Some storm initiation has taken place SE of Auburn, as well as near Huntsville

Definitely interested in the Auburn storm. Not that shear is especially strong, but super high instability there still

Good CU field, bulk shear, and storms are blowing up in the very unstable atmosphere. The HRRR continues to be aggressive with further storm development.

Watching that storm from the north in East Anniston. Rotating wall cloud on the back side. along I 20. Nice rotation.

My mother in Cleburne county said close to baseball sized hail.

The storm near Heflin is really wrapping up. Definitely getting close to needing a tornado warning.

My goodness another massive supercell with possible baseball sized hail in Cleburne county. Good thing we do not have much low level helicity. We'd have a east AL tornado outbreak in progress.

Edit: watch around Talladega county area. Subtle outflow boundary moving north.
