Hurricane Melissa

Y'all ever seen an old carburetor internal combustion engine get flooded with gas and then fire off all at once with a big rev?

That, except hot moisture from the ocean in a heat engine. That's some of the most explosive convection I've ever seen.

If this keeps RIng at the pace it is and doesn't EWRC, I wouldn't be shocked if we saw a C5 tomorrow.
Im expecting a C4 by the time I get up tomorrow morning (around 9-10 am EST)

An untouched Caribbean does wonders, doesn’t it?

It's taking a big job to the southwest. More time over water likely higher peak intensity.
Maybe it could challenge Wilma. We will see, because it may not happen in the end.

Would not surprise me in the least if NHC had to do a special update or couple of special updates going forward this Melissa
