That sure is a sharp cutoff in West Alabama. I am guessing that is because the cape is having a difficult time going north as you go east. Interesting how the surface low still has that strung out look...I am not sure this is a done deal yet in central/north Al.

The problem I see with a more significant North AL threat is how hard the cold front surges almost due S tomorrow. Seems like it overpowers everything and prevents a more organized surface low.

That is a very good point, it does look like the front could just overtake the line.

Yeah a cold front as strong as that isn't something you really want for severe weather. That just crashes in and messes with the setup.

This shouldn't be a major issue for North Alabama. This will be confined south and west of here.

Stuck north of the warm front today. 52 here while it's in the 70s just about 2 hours further south.

Reports of 2-inch hail causing damage in Morris County, TX. Storm is tornado warned but hail is probably the bigger threat at this point.

That storm is right-moving pretty hard and has had a consistent, if relatively modest, couplet (although it is a fair distance from KSHV, but moving toward it).

Athens GA has the same dewpoint as TCL Alabama...instability just not coming east.
