I am very concerned for the northern half of Al tomorrow evening....and will be until I see further evidence that the air mass will not recover or there will storms along the coast. the instability values are way high for Jan.

Wow, no kidding! If this were to verify, Alabama, Georgia, and western Florida panhandle are all in play overnight Saturday into Sunday morning (maybe except far NE Georgia)
li of -7 for BHM with backing surface winds several hours tomorrow night. I know the Nam has been discounted because it shows the wave staying open and not closing....but we are getting into the nam's timeframe.

Thank you for that update. Someone needs to let HUN know this, because they don't seem very concerned. I'm really worried people are going to be taken off guard.

This is from the 12k Nam, but it looks like it has taken the STP parameter fairly higher and slightly further north for Saturday night now. Of coarse the highest threat being across the south.

00z NAM at 006z Sunday. Cannot ignore these if the NAM is on target. Look at those low level wind fields....

Still new to reading these. Mind telling me what we're looking at?

These are forecasted atmospheric soundings located at the points on the map at the right, for midnight Saturday night. They display the NAM's model output at that time throughout the atmosphere. Just a very basic description
