It's 63/59 in Bham but BMX confirmed a warm front moves thru later tonight. Hopefully this rain contaminates the atmosphere & prevents us from having the worst of the storms.
I noticed James Spann was scruffy this am but had shaven by his afternoon video. So he's obviously preparing to come off his vacation early for the outbreak tonight.

Tbh, the last time i’ve seen a tornado on the ground for this long was Mayfield.

Honestly a waiting game to see if any other storms can get big enough to take advantage of the shear in place. The MS cells seem to be hanging on right now.

I've seen cells with that kind of structure go on to produce nasty long-trackers. Absolutely one to keep a close eye on.
First ones that came to my mind immediately was Bassfield and Mayfield, it has that look of both of those.

61 and overcast with persistent rain and light ESE winds here. Clearly still well north of the warm front; wonder how far it reaches before the QLCS gets close. RAP showing instability is pretty much nonexistent northeast of Jackson. A lot can happen in that narrow tongue of instability ahead of the QLCS when the LLJ really kicks up the low level winds later so will be very interested in seeing where it winds up

The threat is over for me now as the QLCS has come through Alexandria. Glad it's over here! Temp down to 57F. Did get some strong wind gusts.
